Whenever I stay in a hotel room here in Atlanta (don’t ask), I always leave a nice tip (at least $20) on the nightstand for the housekeeper. Oprah Winfrey, pictured with her friend Alicia Keys, always leaves a lot more.
The media mogul, 64, tells PEOPLE she always leaves extra cash for the housekeepers when she stays in a hotel.
“This made me so happy recently: People never leave money for the housekeepers in a hotel,” Winfreys says in the new cover issue. “I usually just leave the money on the pillow, but this time I put it all over the room: under the desk, on the counter with the M&Ms, in the shower. As I was leaving, I was like, “Somebody is going to be happy today, yes!'”
Alicia Keys hooked up with Oprah at an event on Monday. She captioned an Instagram photo: “Me and my Aquarian sister Miss @Oprah [2 heart emojis] laughs, connections and real talk!! She drops those [gems] Love this lady!! #TheVoice”.
