Serena dealt with severe complications following the high-risk birth of her first child. She suffered from blood clots and her heart rate dropped after delivering her baby via C-section.

The 36-year-old also has to contend with a case of unsightly post-pregnancy cellulite. Serena wore black compression capri leggings under her tennis skirt to conceal the unsightly lumps during a match on Monday.

Experts say more women have cellulite today because women wear less panty hose/stockings. Panty hose acts as a compression hose, reducing swelling and promoting better blood flow to the legs.

Cellulite usually appears on a woman’s buttocks, hips and thighs beginning at age 25 and can affect girls as young as teenagers.

As young women start approaching menopause, estrogen production decreases and fat begins to accumulate and protrude due to decreased blood circulation in the legs and buttocks.

Scientific American suggests wearing less panties with elastic and wearing more thongs (make sure the thongs are 100% cotton).

Also, wearing panty hose (with loose or no panties) helps to promote blood flow to your legs.
