Trump Nominates the First Black Female Brigadier General

Marine Corps Colonel Lorna M. Mahlock is the first black woman ever to be nominated as brigadier general of the U.S. military.

Secretary of Defense James Mattis announced President Donald Trump’s nomination of Mhalock with a list of other general officer announcements on Tuesday.

If confirmed, Mahlock will be the first black woman to be appointed to one the highest military positions in the world.

Mahlock is currently the deputy director of operations, plans, policies and operations directorate at the Marine Corps’ headquarters in Washington, D.C., according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Defense.

The leftist media largely ignored this news last week.
