The fallout continues for Hollywood outcast Roseanne Barr who is under fire for tweeting an image comparing former President Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett to a chimp.
“Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” Barr tweeted, referring to Jarrett, who is mixed race and originally from Iran.
In other tweets Roseanne mentioned Chelsea Clinton and George Soros as Nazi sympathizers.
Roseanne’s agents, ICM Partners, announced they were dropping the superstar after she went on a racist, humorless Twitter rant late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
She apologized Tuesday, but it was too little, too late.
Disney’s ABC called a hasty meeting with the Roseanne Show’s producers two hours before announcing the cancellation Tuesday morning.
The news came after openly lesbian comic Wanda Sykes quit the show, and original cast member Sara Gilbert, who is also gay, swore she would never work with Roseanne again.
The revamped Roseanne Show premiere drew 26 million viewers and the series averaged 18 million viewers over 13 episodes.
ABC had planned to bring the series back for another 13-episode run next season.
