The entire Internet was in shock when images and video surfaced showing the half empty stadium in Paris, France where Beyonce and her rapper husband JAY-Z performed during their On The Run II world tour on Sunday.
The excuses for the empty stadium ranged from angry Parisians who boycotted Beyonce and JAY-Z for desecrating The Louvre to concertgoers abandoning the show to celebrate the France World Cup win in the streets outside the stadium.
According to sources, Parisians are outraged that the mega couple filmed a music video inside the revered museum that houses classic artwork, including the Mona Lisa.
But others say the stadium was empty because concertgoers preferred to celebrate the World Cup win — France’s 1st World Cup win in 20 years.
Whatever the reason is, it does not look good for the power couple. It’s one thing to perform in front of a half empty arena, but a half empty stadium is simply bad for their career.
