Adult film star Stormy Daniels’ marriage is officially over. Glendon Crain filed for divorce and a judge granted his request for a restraining order.
Crain is a stay-at-home dad who cared for the couple’s daughter while Daniels, 39, worked the strip club circuit to pay the bills. Crain is asking for child support and sole custody of the couple’s 7-year-old daughter.
According to WENN.com, Daniels also filed for divorce a week after she told police she was no longer married during an arrest at an Ohio strip club.
Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, announced the news in a tweet on Monday.
“My client Stormy Daniels and her husband Glen have decided to end their marriage,” he tweeted. “Stormy’s daughter remains her number one priority.”
Daniels married Crain in 2015.
Daniels, real name Stephanie Clifford, rose to prominence overnight when she claimed she had intimate relations with President Donald Trump in 2006. She sued the president in March to cancel a nondisclosure agreement she signed when she was paid $130,000 in hush money prior to the election.
Crain’s restraining order prohibits Daniels from contacting him or their daughter. The couple was rarely seen together in public after she sued Trump.
Daniels allegedly wanted to take their daughter on tour, where she would allegedly be on a bus with other adult performers.
But Crain feared she might provide their daughter to her “clients”, which might put their daughter at risk of physical and emotional harm.
Crain will attend a hearing to reportedly make the restraining order permanent on Friday, July 27.
