Rapper Cardi B’s loss is another artist’s gain. Interscope Records announced R&B newcomer Ella Mai, left, will replace Cardi B on Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour. Cardi dropped out of the tour unexpectedly after giving birth to her and rapper Offset’s daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, in July.
Cardi explained she was leaving the tour to spend more time with her newborn daughter. But she has been spotted following her promiscuous fiancé all over the map, while presumably leaving her daughter at home with relatives.
Ella Mai is best known for her hit R&B single “Boo’d Up”, which is RIAA certified double-platinum. The 23-year-old UK songstress will join Bruno on seven of the tour’s October dates, beginning on Oct. 4 in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center.
Also added to the tour are Ciara, Boyz II Men, and Charlie Wilson. They will join the tour in Denver, Colorado next month (Sept. 18).

The first episode highlights her BET Awards experience, while the latest video will detail her Essence Festival performance. Ella Mai is currently on the road, headlining her own sold out Boo’d Up tour.
