Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes enjoyed a relaxing day on the beach in Malibu, California earlier this month. The power couple shared passionate kisses while an Us Weekly photographer snapped exclusive pictures.
After nearly 5 years in hiding, the two actors seemed to enjoy publicizing their relationship in the new issue of Us Weekly. There are photos of the couple playing volleyball, wrestling in the sand, and cuddling.
“They were totally engaged with each other,” said a beachgoer. “They were never on their phones. She had this incredible smile on her face. She looked smitten.”
Like most high profile Hollywood couples, breakup rumors follow them wherever they go.
The evening ended with a toast. In between makeouts, they finished off a bottle of champagne on their blanket. Then, adds the onlooker, “they watched the sun set.”
That carefree attitude is a welcome change for the couple who once rented out an entire restaurant to avoid prying eyes on a date night. “Katie and Jamie care about each other a lot and they tried to stay as quiet as possible because they didn’t want to ruin that,” reveals a source close to the mom of Suri, 12. “They knew the second they stepped out together, it would open the gates for criticism.”
Foxx, 50, and Holmes, 39, bring girl children into the relationship. He has two daughters: Corinne, 24, and Analise, 9; while Holmes and actor Tom Cruise share a daughter, Suri, 12.
