La La Anthony steams up the screen in Drake’s new music video for his #1 hit “In My Feelings” off his Scorpion album. La La plays “Keke” in the dream sequence video shot in New Orleans.
The Karen Evans directed video shows Drake pursuing a reluctant Keke, who orders Drake to delete the women in his phone. Phylicia Rashad plays Keke’s no-nonsense mom.
The song spawned a viral Internet challenge that spawned copycat videos all over the world. The challenge was created by Instagram comedian Shiggy, who also appears in the video.

Lala was not right for that part.
I agree
This why Keisha’s been fronting on Tommy; Tommy finna kill Drake. lol
He couldn’t have casted a black “Ke Ke” smh.
1. I love Phylicia Rashad.
2. I wonder if he had to pay to use that .78 second clip of Will Smith and if so, how many hundreds of thousands of dollars it costs.
3. LaLa’s starting to get that Build-A-Thot weird crotch area.
Can we just agree that she’s lame already. She must be nice to the bloggers.
Acting skills weak, Hopefully she didn’t screw up the music vid. How hard can that me..
Keisha should be a little more edgy.
I’m over drake.?
Karena Evans directed the video. I enjoyed it. I liked how he included Shiggy. Ms. Rashad was funny and classy! Loved how videos from the fans were included at the end.
all the chicks in new orleans and they bring in la la. then she living in a fugging garden district house when the sh*t should have been a shotgun. he look and sound like a doofus. she look and sound like a doofus. sigh. it’s a no for me dawg.
i didn’t like mama rashad either. nola people got hella personality and i think he would have knocked it out the park if he would have used nola natives.
Lala was a weird choice to me. I think somebody like Keyshia Cole would have been a better fit. Maybe even Teyana Taylor.
Everybody winning.
Even Shiggy.
Karena has it going on; I enjoyed the video as well it looked like everyone had fun making it. Shiggy stinky face had me dying when he was on the bus.. Love FR to the moon, her and her sister Debbie has always been so classy.
I’m gonna watch it on mute
Lala as the lead girl sucks. Stop trying to make this chick a hit. We remember those TRL days and Flavor of Love reunion hosting days.
Has drake done an all black (dark skinned, brown skinned) video before? If not, could this be because of the black-faced controversy he went through and his ugly white pornstar baby mama drama?I was shocked seeing so many black girls in one video in 2018? Even the video artworks are of dark skinned girls.
LUV ?? IT! Drake looks good with the grill!
I love my hometown, ain’t nothing like New Orleans.
i liked it, Big Freeda was a surprise
The ending skit was super weak and too long. ?
Happy he included New Orleans and the culture…I mean it’s only right if you gonna be using bounce samples in your music.
Side note: We could’ve done without Shiggy’s lil boy body and the skit at the end. I like how he included the IG vids of folks doing the dance…that was cute.
You know what– I noticed the amount of dark skin/brown skin women as well. I thought it was odd. Overcompensating for the black face definitely makes sense.
…and he received criticism for the lack of dark skin women in that other video he did that had Issa Rae in it.
Lol at #3
Cute video.
La la is black…are you saying she is not black enough ?
Don’t forget to go when you leave….if this wasn’t my grandma?
Lolololool
It was cute for what it was, just a fun dance song with a fun little vid to go with it?????
If la la looked like the la la from years ago. She was shaped like a door.
Lol and I still haven’t listened to the whole song. That damn challenge messed it up for me…I’m tired of KeKe, she don’t love nobody
You saying they needed someone to put some real stank on it ?
5 roses for me. The video is dope
I think it’s a cute video.
That’s cuz she is one
So we just going to accept this level of acting as ke ke? This era has accepted screwed up acting, screwed up music, screwed up priorities, screwed up standards, screwed up parenting, screwed up politics, …did I miss anything?
-10 years of BS
loved it
Maybe he used Lala because her personality in the video is a close match to the real Keisha Chante.. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/23b7723152a9fc774cd4e6a8ff8d8ad0b48e0bd22b48932eac366d07e10ca580.gif
Sandy-Mae, Ima have to override you on this one. This deserves a 5 star salute. I love love love this song and the video is really cute!!!
Lol right…. I loved the vibe and the dancers.
Watched whole thing. DOPE! Love how he also included his NOLA boss in this video in front of the Wayne mural.
Loved this!! From beginning to end. The little boy twirling the drumstick through his fingers got me, too.
What does this mean? I have never heard of it and don’t want to use it and sound like an idiot. LOL!
This!!!!!
Leave AND go. It’s an old bayou saying lol. Ms. Rashad showed her Houston with that one?.
YES! We MUST do better. All of our priorities are messed up and this video doesnt make it ANY better. In fact, it makes it worse. LOOK at the stuff we accept! Do better DRAKE.
I love Phylicia Rashad.
ugh that house. love love love old houses. love the NOLA-everything-culture
hilarious at the end. dude sittin’ in the door lol
She is a WHOLE GEM
So much??????
LaLa(whom I worked with as an ensemble in the flop”Soul Plane”) I miss her when she use to DJ at 92.3 The Beat radio station. She has come a LONG way.
The boy on the drums had me. I thought that was the best
Yes Karena is sooo talented. I checked out her Instagram page and sis is the truth! ?? I agree, Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad are Legends!! I’m glad Shiggy got his shine ? I love ?? visiting NOLA and Karena was definitely able to capture the vibe and culture. From the bands playing in the street to the boys with the buckets!!! They did that! ?
Yaaaaasssssssssss!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!
Classy, beautiful, dignified, graceful, ugh I wanna be like her when I grow up lol
Hasn’t La La reached the point where she’s above playing video girls?
I agree but I like Shiggy!! So happy he got his shine ?with his spitting while talking self. ?
Yess!! Much love to NOLA! ??
La La and Ludacris (Chris Lova Lova) were DJs on Atlanta’s Hot 97.5 (now Hot 107.9) in 2001. I wonder whatever happened to Chris Lova Lova’s sidekick, Poon Daddy?
I loved when she said, “when you leave, make sure you go.” LOL!
I liked the end with the compilation of the different people doing the dance. A catchy song.
What I could have done without and what I really wish had never become a thing and would go away already is all the stank twerking. When exactly did dancing like a stripper become en vogue and why did it? I like the little “Kiki” dance; it’s something you don’t mind seeing your kids do. But I do NOT want to see my or anyone’s little girl sticking her azz out and shaking it like that. The video would have been great and PG without that part. Jmo
I like the video!
I just said that up top LOL!
I agree. The video was average. It could have been better. Phylicia Rashad’s acting talent was wasted in this video.
Yes she has an extensive DJ career under her belt.
Drake is every women’s fantasy. I guess she couldn’t resist his offer.
Lol chile, he doesn’t do it for me at all. Never has. But you are right ????? a lot of women do like him.
No! Lol!
(whom I worked with in the flop”Soul Plane”) – Really now? Which department?
This is buried on my resume too…IIRC, her “work” was really just a half-day cameo…
Same here. Without that beard, it’s a NO..
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/92885f144ce4aea29c42376f7f5b6fb962817f3c80eb4d0b53e2d279580f01fb.jpg
I like it. There are some elements I could do without or would change but it was cute. The end was funny
Ooh ? girl!! Lmao!! Girl, he NEEDS that beard ??!!! For real ??
I didn’t know they even still made music videos…lol
Doooope!
Throwin dis ass in a circle lol
I liked the video…real people
Twerking (the universally adopted term) has been ingrained in New Orleans culture for eons. They don’t think of it as vulgar or suggestive. I lived in South Louisiana in the early 00’s, and they were pounchin (their term for twerking) and swiggling LONG before everyone else hopped onboard and coined a term for it. I can always identify an authentic New Orleans pounch versus a random twerk as the Louisiana version is more of a circular booty roll that incorporates shoulders, head stands, pounchin in a circle etc. My first time going to a club there in 2001, I’m standing at the entrance ?… literally everyone there was poppin dey a$$e$. When the hottest song would come on (Choppa Style at the time) they would run and line up along the wall and pounch while holding it as a prop; they call that ‘catching the wall.’LOL Since this is a New Orleans bounce track, Drake humbly paid homage to the originators and home of bounce music while incorporating the associated dance. Had he not done so, it would seem as though he was just biting their home grown music style and culture. He instead made it all about New Orleans, and I’m sure they appreciate that.
Who started the twerking umm Dj Jimmy … Luke and nem idk. But freaky dancing has been a thing since the 60’s…grinding on the dance floor is nothing new
? you’re so right
LOL Yes girl, he needs that beard!
Giggles
You kno we would have turnt it. My mamma would have been like if you don’t get from off my poch( not porch) ima whip yo go go.
She got that Ciara rhinoplasty. Good work!
I actually think Toya Carter Wright would have killed LaLa part, she has that hard New Orleans accent.
Hated it! ?
Speak for yourself.
Poon was from LA too! I know he worked w/ Luda & Chaka on the management side for a while…
Lala wants to be like Kim Kardashian so bad, why I don’t know. I remember when I used to watch Melo & her reality show he was so not into her, it was sad.
Cute. Fun.
We need something fun to help us relax.
Glad Shiggy is in it. Good look, Drake.
Actually, it is Jamaican dance hall.
Again, he was sooo not into her. Production & film crew probably stayed shaking their heads.
I agree…I think the old Melo was interested but as LaLa got Hollywood he pulled away…we all know that Melo likes his girls natural and as plain as possible…
Lol looks so much fun!! Love the ratchet New Orleans natives
True but I don’t think Wayne wud approve
Chris lova lova and Poon Daddy ? Lol i still remember that little giggle
Yesssss!! I loved it!!
It was way too embarrassing. Especially when he used to be out of town and she would call him. I used to tell my boyfriend that nig layed up in bed with somebody.
[facepalm]
i used to LOVE that show. that was on my ride home from work.
chris lova lova and poon daddeeeee eeeeeeeee!
Who knew she would become a household name?! On the way of marrying a millionaire baller.
Who? Let me Google ?
Damn…did he get his eyes done ?
I do not get everyone’s fascination with Lala. lol I just don’t see it.
Neither do I ?
Is this the same person that directed Nice for What? If so, I’m not watching it… just the summary of the video is enough to tell me that it probably doesn’t match the song. Just like the video Nice For What didn’t match the song or the energy of the song. I really do not like Lala. I’m sure she’s a sweet person, but there’s something about her presence/personality that screams pathetic/clingy/attention-seeking-wh0re that I just do not care for. ?????
I don’t care for him either
HELL NAW. I’m Jamaican and we don’t claim twerking. We claim wining, though.
I don’t find him even remotely attractive.
I liked the video. It was cute and funny. I think it was filmed in New Orleans. It’s mostly just a bunch of chicks twerking tbh though.
Yaaaassss… you got it ALL the way right! Everyone in Houston has a cousin from the NO (not really, but it feels like it) and I thought I would have to hop on mah soapbox, but you took the words right out mah mouth!
Twerking is a vulgar imitation of winding.
I like it!
lol
yea
We were busy laughing our butts off at him trying to pick up the accent??
Me, too!
I don’t think many are fascinated with her.
gurrrrllll, i hollered. i have never seen degrassi or whatever but this n*ggas acting is awful lol. then lala come out there looking like she in a spike lee movie.
For some reason, everyone in the video looks 100% completely, wholeheartedly, utterly, totally musty asf.
Drake make the best videos.
We used to call pu$$y popping in my college days.
Just watched the entire video, On my way to Genes for hot sausage with cheese, no tomatoes, extra pickles and mayo.
YAWWWWWWWWWN
The Beyonce video influence I see. But too damn long I keep fast forwarding.
Maybe she paid to be in the video?
I like it!
It’s kind of looks like he did.
Lala gets on my nerves with her non acting ass, so desperate to prove something. I heard she messed around with Drake to get the lead role in this video.???????
I’m jealous! I didn’t have a poboy when I was home a few weeks ago ?. I brought my coworkers to Jazz Fest this year and took them to Gene’s.
I like!!!!! I could be biased since NOLA is home ?????.
As soon as he said “Wozam” we were done??
Cute!
That was toooo cute!!! ?
Shiggy was so funny at the end with that headset like he gone just stare at Drake for the whole 10 minutes. He wouldn’t leave for nothing
That tickled me
I’m sure he’s not losing any sleep over it.
Keisha Chante, in the pitcure, is who Drake is referring to in the song.
Ok Drake! Good job. That was cute. The little boy twirling the drum stick was cool & the dog doing the “challenge” was hilariously unexpected & then of course closing out big willy style! Oh & we can’t forget about the Queen Phelicia Rashad ?
Lol.
Ok. It “seems” the same. But, yeah, there is a difference. Sorry.
That Nawlins heat
Me neither
I love it! Makes me want to go to New Orleans!!
I’m headed to NOLA in about a week or so. I liked the video. Tribute to all those that made the song so popular!
she is sooooo OVER RATED!!!!!!!
U r not rated-NON FACTOR.
Jealous??? Lala SHE’s GOT IT! Keep looking.
Jealous according to who tho? Nice try!
Bytch you a Non Factor. Phuck LaLa and her Build A Body Azz. At least my Azz is REAL and I’m not up KumK azz being FAKE.
