Bill Cosby had a rough first day behind bars at a Pennsylvania prison on Tuesday. The 81-year-old comedian was placed in general population rather than solitary confinement where celebrities are housed.
Cosby was sentenced to serve 3-10 years in prison on Tuesday following his conviction in April on 3 charges of drugging and molesting a former Temple University staffer at his home in 2004.
Camille Cosby said her husband called her on his first day in prison and told her he fell down the steps and someone tossed a hotdog at him.
Cosby also told Camille prison staffers took away his glasses and shoelaces because those items could be used to commit suicide.
Cosby had earlier told an intake staffer he wanted to kill himself.
The former actor reportedly told Camille to hire the best legal team money can buy to file an appeal to overturn his conviction.
