A missing 2-year-old Florida boy was found murdered in a wooded area Tuesday evening, His mother Charisse Stinson, 21, has been charged with his murder. Jordan Belliveau was found dead in a wooded area not far from where Stinson reported he was abducted by a stranger.
Stinson told police she and her son were walking home on Saturday when a man named Antwan offered them a ride. She said once in the car, the man punched her so hard he knocked her unconscious.
Stinson said when she woke up around 1:30 a.m., the man and her son were gone.
An Amber Alert had been issued for Jordan on Sunday. The alert was cancelled after Jordan’s body was found late Tuesday.
At a news conference at the site where the boy’s body was found, authorities said Stinson had been arrested and charged with 1st-degree murder earlier in the day.
“Jordan has been found in a wooded area behind me. We have no further statement at this time,” Largo Police Dept. Maj. Stephen Slaughter said.
Maj. Slaughter said family members were “devastated”.
Police declined to release any details, citing an ongoing investigation.
