Melania Trump spoke out against bullies who attacked her for her choice of fashions during her solo tour of Africa last week.
The stylish First Lady was heavily criticized for wearing a white helmet during her safari tour in Nairobi, Kenya. Critics claimed the hat is commonly associated with whites who colonized Africa.
Ironically, U.S. Postal Service employees wear similar hard hats as part of their uniform.
Melania was also mocked for wearing a sharp pantsuit while touring the pyramids in Egypt.
“I could say I’m the most bullied person in the world,” Mrs. Trump told ABC News during her solo trip to Africa.
“If you really see what people are saying about me,” she added.
The constant attacks on the First Lady inspired Melania to launch her “BE BEST” anti-bullying initiative.
“We need to educate children on social-emotional behavior, so when they grow up, they know how to deal with those issues. That’s very important,” she said.
President Donald Trump is often criticized for his constant rebuke of the national news media on Twitter.com. Melania said she is advising her husband to tone down the rhetoric.
But so far, she has not been successful.
“I give him my honest advice and honest opinions, and then he does what he wants to do,” she said.
