Social media is in a frenzy over a photo that shows North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, in a relationship with a boy twice her age. The boy, Caiden, is the son of rapper Consequence, who helped write Kanye’s debut album The College Dropout, and his wife Jen the Pen.

In a photo posted on Caiden’s Instagram page, North appears to be hesitant and timid as Caiden puts his arm around her shoulder. The image is captioned: “Boo’d Up.”

Another photo shows the boy purchasing an expensive delicate necklace from Tiffany & Co. jewelry store for the 4-year-old. He captioned the image, “Wrap that up sir, I’ll take it.”

Another photo shows Caiden posing outside the store with the signature Tiffany bag. He captioned that image, “Shout out to Northie, Babygirl I’ll see you soon,” along with several kiss emojis.

North is seen wearing the necklace she received from Caiden.

The reaction on Black Twitter and the blogs was swift as users called out their parents for inappropriately hooking up their minor children.

“Now THIS is sexualizing kids too early. Why can’t they be besties?” wrote one reader on Rhymeswithsnitch.com.

Adults think it’s cute to play matchmaker for their children. But matchmaking can be stressful, particularly for little girls who are too young to process adult situations.
