The staff of the Wendy Williams Show are concerned for the future of their jobs after Wendy and her estranged husband Kevin Hunter stopped communicating with the show’s producers.
Radar Online reports Wendy will not be making a comeback any time soon. The 54-year-old talk show Diva never returned from a Christmas hiatus.
Her rep stated she was on leave while she recovered from a fractured shoulder and complications related to her thyroid disorder.
An insider tells Radar Wendy has stopped communicating with her employees.
“Staff have not heard from Wendy and are concerned for the future of their jobs,” said the insider. “It has been a struggle.”
According to the source, the show will stop airing new episodes and go into reruns next week.
Viewers expressed concern after Wendy showed signs of neurological deterioration, including slurred speech, blank stares, memory lapses, and attention deficits.
Wendy reportedly suffered years of abuse at the hands of Kevin, who is rumored to be shacking up with his longtime mistress.
Wendy was scheduled to return to the show on January 7. Celebrity hosts filled in for Wendy while she was on hiatus.
