R. Kelly’s eldest daughter Joann Kelly says she’s not ready to discuss her father on the reality TV show Growing Up Hip-Hop: Atlanta.
The 52-year-old R&B singer plead not guilty last month to charges he sexually abused three minors a decade ago.
The Blast.
Kelly recently paid his ex-wife Andrea Kelly $161,000 to get out of jail in Chicago. Drea and her three children, Robert, Jay and Joann, will be featured on the upcoming season of Growing Up Hip-Hop: Atlanta. Production has already begun on the series in Atlanta.
Earlier this week he sang “Happy Birthday” to Joann. But Joann, who performs under the stage name Buku Abi, is adamant about not talking about her troubled dad.
Joann said her singing career will be the focal point of the show.
She recently broke her silence about the explosive Lifetime documentary Surviving R. Kelly, saying “devastated is an understatement.”
Drea and her children will join TLC member T-Boz, rapper Da Brat and Waka Flocka Flame on the reality show.
