Dennis Rodman is being accused of staging a brazen robbery with a boosting crew at an upscale yoga studio in Newport Beach, California.
According to TMZ, the former NBA legend walked into the VIBES Hot Yoga studio with 2 females and a male. Rodman, 57, allegedly distracted the employees while one of the females walked around the store boosting clothing.
Surveillance footage shows the former Chicago Bull star using his 6 ft 7 in. body to shield the woman while she stuffed clothing into her bag.
Rodman’s male accomplice then lifted a heavy $2,500 crystal art piece which he “dropped” and broke in another attempt to create a distraction.
The boosting crew then left the studio without paying for the stolen clothing or the $2,500 art piece.
In addition to the broken art piece, the owners say $500 worth of clothing was stolen. Store employees say Rodman reeked of alcohol.
The Newport Beach Police Department is investigating the theft.
