John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen celebrated their son’s latest “Miles-stone” as he took his first-ever steps on Tuesday. Chrissy previously denied her adorable son, Miles, is autistic.
The “All Of Me” singer retweeted a video shared by his wife of the momentous occasion on her Twitter page, writing: “I think I just caught his first real steps! Does this count?”
In the 15-second clip, Miles, who celebrated his 1st birthday in May, is seen holding onto a table while playing with a toy car, before stepping to hold onto the couch. His mom Chrissy is heard excitedly telling him: “Good job, you took a step!”
John added the clever caption: “Miles-stone!”
It is indeed a milestone for Miles if he is autistic as some fans claim.
Most babies take their first meaningful steps between age 9 and 12 months. Doctors urge parents not to worry if their children don’t walk until they’re 16 or 17 months old.
Autistic children may take anywhere from 12 months to 3 years to begin walking. Autistic children are usually diagnosed by age 3.

Cute kids
Question: At what age did your children take their first steps?
^^^^^^^^^^
My oldest…Dub24, same age frame as Miles. Born in May. Aint walk to WELL after 4th of July. Same EXACT timeframe. Dr. indeed told me to chill out; but I was a first time mom AND worked at a daycare at the time, so I thought the worse.
*she hasnt sat her ass down since.

LOL
At what age did your children take their first steps
———————
Time Jr Walked a few days after his first bday and I missed it. Stupid work!
Ask when his ass got teeth though … lol Born in February and had two teeth in July at 4.5 months old. We down at the Longhorn effing ish up for my bday that year
My son walked at 7 months and so did I!! Places to go people to see and we still running lol
Leave oldest Dub alone …lolol
Lil J was 11mths … cute kids up top … every child is different
Kids do things when they’re ready. My little cousin didnt say a word until he was damn near 3 years old. All of a sudden he started speaking in clear and complete sentences. He also skipped 1st grade, so…
My cousin’s youngest isn’t walking as of yet….But when he is ready…he will (he is 1)
15 months for all my kids..
Chrissie’s clap backs are something else, hope she don’t catch wind of you implying her child is autistic.
My youngest son walked at 7 months as well. People don’t believe me when I say it.He had a car looking walker that he would push and didn’t know how to stop it, then boom my tiny baby was walking.
Dub14 was tryna chase behind her big sis/all her older cousins. She was walking and causing a rukus at 8 months. Looked crazy as hell bc she was a slight preemie (was 5 weeks early) so she looked legit like an itty bitty doll baby running around. My ex husband used to be like how can a person so tiny cause so much damn quick and absolute DESTRUCTION? https://media0.giphy.com/media/SBVG0Ooyx24tG/giphy.gif
They do it when they feel like it. My youngest son got up and just did it he was about Myles age. We think he could always do it, he was always a lazy baby..lol My only concern for this video were those tables.
parents can speed up walking by interacting with the kid. basically harassing them. like putting their food out of reach and things like that.
john legend is not that great of a musician yet stories about his family are thrown at us all the time. how many people get a cut of his paycheck in order to elevate him and his family to such heights. this is the first story about them that i have written on in maybe 3-4 years. chissy seems to spend all her modeling money on press.
Jinx! they look funny as HELL when they that small walking.
Do not imply that her son has a disability ?
Same for my son..he took his 1st steps about a week after his 1st birthday.. & had a mouf full o teef at about 8 months.
Yes they do … so cute though …. but chile when they start talking …. whew https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/51c6b3f7a6512ebaa1918af76267cbf3565dd650397e2957034187e652b8b8a3.gif
Dang!
My son started walking at 9 months little as hell, running in between ppls legs and sh@t!… He used to wear my nerves, smdh!… And my mom says I skipped walking and saw a ball and RAN down a hilly driveway to get it at the same age of 9 months… So I guess I was on her nerves too… Lol!!
Dub14 thing was the damn TRASH CAN. if you were slow to pull that gate behind you she would shoot past you, make a beeline for the trash and in 5 seconds trash all over the kitchen, herself…a MESS.
Cute and adorable kids looking just like their deddy.
Busy bodies chile …. use to give Lil J some pots to play with …. or her cousins would help me out …. because they be in to everything chile

Please point to where I implied her son was autistic. And even if he was, what’s wrong with that?

As a mommy of a 3 yr old, handsome son with Mild Autism I can say my son started to walk when he was 17 or 18 months! My baby was a 23 week micro preemie weighing 1lb 2 oz at birth so I get thw joy they are feeling! I was overjoyed at that milestone for my baby as well as we have sooo many more to come! Thanks for sharing! ?
because those babies are being carried,. if someone carried me I wouldn’t walk either, but I started at 7 months, no lie, I had places to go and stuff to get into..
lol
https://media2.giphy.com/media/5xaOcLKLmsDlC3vnkMU/giphy.gif
I think my son was around a year or so. Every child is different. They don’t come from some cookie cutter mold off an assembly line. BTW, implying he is autistic, while always saying children are off limits is messy as fukk.
Lmao!! Right!! And I totally believe you. My baby started at 8 months.
My youngest son (the only I carried full term) started at 8 months old too! I thought he was some sorta super san ?
Sandra you really posting about a child … I can read the shade between the lines.
here it go : you wrote (therefore intimated)

Sandra, please stop. My son has Autism. He was walking at 10 months and reading at the age of 2. Swimming without ever having lessons at age 3 and riding a bike without ever having training wheels by age of 4 or 5. You’re too intelligent to make inaccurate statements like that.
Dear, I did not imply he was autistic. I said her fans implied he was autistic and she denied it.
https://media2.giphy.com/media/H7knSnvZbopU9DLB2R/giphy-downsized-medium.gif you beat me too it…lol
OMG! My son had a mouthful of teeth at 6 months. He always been greedy. Speeding up the process, I suppose.
?

I got you bruh!
This post is stupid. Babies develop at different ages. My first child was walking at 10 months. She was holding whole ass conversations by 18 months. My second baby didn’t walk til she was around 12-14 months and she didn’t really start talking til around 2. I will be honest, I thought something was wrong. I got her a speech and developmental therapist and put her in daycare and within a year she was on a 4 year old level. They develop when THEY are ready.
Please leave folks kids alone, cause if Crissy cusses your ass out Sandra, you gonna be looking goofy.
I read the entire write up Sandra … and naw you didn’t say he was autistic …. you stated that Chrisie denied that accusation ….. and your right nothing is wrong with autism …..
Did you get a second or 3rd opinion about your son?
Girl! Greedy!!
https://media3.giphy.com/media/EOQlbrzzlrCTmCLeeO/giphy.gif
There. is. no. shade. This post is for educational purposes.
And Chrissy is really sassy. She’d do it.??
“I read the entire write up Sandra … and naw you didn’t say he was autistic …”
Thanks hun. People never read the entire post.
I know. That’s why I said it. She’d drag the shyt out of Sandra and would have every right to do it…

Meanwhile, I didn’t know Ms Murphey done creeped with Lisa Ray Ex Hubby! Chile she working on her track record I see…
I hope she do! LMAO!
I don’t know why I don’t remember but it was between 9 and 10 months for both of mines.
This is funny!
His little rich behind can start walking at age 37 and still gone get way farther than my azz, who by the way started walking at 7 months. #autisticornotlilmangotitmade
Heehee. Never say die up in this mofo!
Cute kids. Never really pay attention to the Legend family. Not sure why though.
Yep they do,especially when they try to run.
~11 months.
I walked at 7 months, oldest son walked at 8 months, and youngest son at 10 months
My oldest took his first steps at 11 months. My baby took his first steps (more like running actually..) at 6 & 1/2 months. Never crawled, just got up and started running.
Me too!
I remember talking to this guy who brought me to his family’s house. There was this baby girl walking around all carefree and shorter than a muthafka. I’m thinking the girl maybe a little malnourished or something. So I ask, how old is she? He responds she’s 7 months and started walking at 6 months. I had never seen anything like that, freaked me out.
He’s cute
“I had places to go and stuff to get into..”

No lies told when you’re talking about babies! LOL. Always into something and going somewhere else to get into mo stuff…LOL.
i don’t like his WIFE so imma be quiet.
it’s beautiful in the DC area today
Man-made children…not the same as the ones made naturally, by God.
Autistic or not he is freakin adorable!
Wow 6 mos is early….are they even crawling at that age. I probably wud have been freaked out as well
And nothing has changed in these 9 years. We JUST walked in the house from camp, and he went to pack his backpack with snacks for his field trip tomorrow. Then he asked me how much money I was gonna give him, because he wanted to buy nachos, a cheeseburger, and fries too. (Did I mention the camp provides lunch?).
??
Daughters are greedy as HELL too. I been said on this blog I have 2 girls but they eat like I got 3 damn SONS. And bf daughter is now there a lot (Dub24 is grown and gone) and its just bad af STILL. They too are in camp (Dub14 a Jr. Counselor and his daughter is 12 so she a regular camp goer), lunch AND breakfast are provided. They pack BOTH every DAY tho. Bf went BACK to the store last night and told them they gonna HAVE to chill on the snacks. He was like I only GAT $30 left allocated for the rest of this WEEK and its only Tuesday NIGHT.
Both of my kids walked before they were 11 months. Cute family though. My girlfriend just had both of her daughters tested and it came back that both of them are autistic, they are 2 and 4yrs old. I feel so bad for her. I’m watching my 4 mo old grandson closely but he is doing great!
I also suggested to my daughter that they spread out his vaccinations and if he needs 2 or 3 shots, I say ok, he can get one today and we will schedule for next week and the week after that. I don’t care if the doctor likes it or not, just what we decided to do with him.
Never crawled, just got up and started running.
^^^^^^^ https://media1.giphy.com/media/CUbiYQbsKSGAM/giphy.gif
The weather is GAWGEOUS. Cause the last 6 days have been TURRIBLE with the excessive heat. Chile, MY AC out and we got the GAS FACE.
My daughter started walking at 8 months. Of course without my help…giggles. I came to the realization that she was tired of seeing things she couldn’t get her hands on. She was touching EVERYTHING after that!
Girl YASSS. My mom was witness and we couldn’t do nothing but laugh.
My son started walking at 10 months
Mine is 9 too!
We gonna hold hands, pray together and keep the grocery store in business…lol
Mr Time look at him like “where does it go”
We sent him to a friend last week for a few hours, she texted me to say she felt bad cause they were having sandwiches for dinner and Time Jr was not with it!!
Speaking of…Legend is a handsome lil fellow! Congrats. I read your blog to see what new restaurants you’ve eaten at. I love eating at independent restaurants!
(Your Legend) …..Not the Legend’s above. Even though they are both cute kids.
Mine too! My kids NEVER crawled lol.
Wow its funny you guys are talking about this my co worker just said her daughter is standing up holding on to things and she 7 months. I have never seen that either. Its probably the weird shit they put in baby food these days who knows, that’s why these girls be looking 25 at 14 smdh
Word on the daycare streets was Dub24 was walking “in secret” for a whole WEEK before we actually saw her. I worked there part time but by time I got there everyday at 3 pm she wouldnt walk. Older yt lady who ran the infant room would be like thats bc she was in this joint running and jazzercising today. She tired. https://media1.giphy.com/media/EgkNhBeY289z2/giphy.gif
dkjfslkjslks LMAOOOO
I walked at 9 months but my younger sibling walked/ran at 11 months (once he took a step he just ran)… all I would see was him running past with his smelly diaper in his hand and my momma telling me to catch him…LOL I cant wait until I have kids…
I was just there this weekend….All the Menz were there…Whew Chile…
My oldest did but not my youngest. My youngest never sucked on a pacifier, was talking before he hit 3 months, was eating food aside from baby food by 6 months, and was running not much longer after that. Everybody around me was saying he was making way for another child but I wasn’t doing ANYTHING so unless I was having the next Messiah, there wasn’t anything he was moving out of the way of. He’s just grown! Old soul in a young body.
Does anybody know what Chrissy Teigen is known for? I’ve always wondered why she’s so popular.
Any ways my son walked at 9 months but my daughter lawd she didn’t start walking until 2 months after her first birthday. I blame my husband because he was always holding her and never put her down.
OMG! LOL! Didn’t she know that a sandwich is an appetizer? I find myself at the grocery multiple days at this point because we are always running out of things. He is a little garbage disposal. We definitely need to get the prayer circle going LOL!
He is sooooooooooooooooooooo cute! He looks just like John.
Overrated ex-Sports Illustrated model
She was practicing before she showed you, ha!

Being married to John Legend, lord knows that she’s not attractive.
RIGHT! I stay buying snacks. I’m a little lucky. My neighbors husband works at the Piggly Wiggly here, and I don’t know he gives himself a 5 finger discount, but they stay giving us snacks. Lawd, I hope I don’t go to jail all because this child greedy! Real talk though, I remember me and my sister eating hella snacks when we were young. I barely even eat sweets anymore, that’s how many I ate when I was a kid. It’s not surprising your girls are big snackers. We gonna have to figure out some extreme couponing or something for these groceries.
My daughter started walking at 13 months. But she was speaking in full sentences by they time she was 18 months. Even counted up to 10 at 16 months.
This is a dumb article kids are off limits. All kids are different, my daughter started walking without holding on to something at 11 months but continued to crawl until she was almost 2. My son started walking at 1 but kept crawling for like 6 months. Not all developmental delays are due to being autistic, my son has a speech delay but isn’t autistic. Everybody acts like being autistic is a death sentence which is dumb and hell half y’all parents are autistic by today’s standards whew chile. ?
Shut up
I don’t know how Chrissy Teigen blew up the way she has…privilege…
Such a cutie
Mine walked at 10mos… My little brother started walking a 8mos
John Legend can’t sing and his wife is annoying. That’s all I got.
I feel like this Autistic dx gets thrown around way too easily and too much. Some kids just take awhile to talk. My daughter was 13 months. She’s a teen now and is perfectly healthy and normal. My brother had speech problems when he was a toddler. He’s in his 30’s now and is perfectly fine and healthy. *rolls eyes*.
Ms.Sandra can you do medical minute on autism? Can the doctor determine if the child will be autistic before the child is born?! Did autism exist back in the day?
John(whom was one of the nicest approachable entertainers I ever met) although I don’t agree with some of his views his endless talent amazes me.
BTW kids should be off-limits.
LMAO

I am tardy to the party…..But this gone be good ?. I remember when auntie said Halle daughter was on the spectrum and so was Trumps kid Barron. https://media2.giphy.com/media/r728rYRDDKzp6/giphy.gif
Ms. Sandra don’t have to worry about moon face, she’s the type of person who talks ?to you on social media but face to face she wouldn’t say ?.
Cute.
I remember that too…

Chocolate city!! https://media3.giphy.com/media/9P1rmbME7ymuhijfPE/giphy.gif
Her clap backs are what she was known for ?… I think she called that black girl, who played Annie, a bish? Or something to that effect? The little girl was like 10.. it was after she won an Oscar… and then she just kept saying slick shit on social media… she’s grown on me lol
Why does she need to shut up? You might need to take heed to your own words, darling…..
My cousins son started walking at 9 mos
Them old school old wives tales be taking me out! Making room is a good one!
I agree 100%. It really isn’t. I think they refer to the earlier years of this diagnosis. Its evolved and so has the therapy for it as well.
Kids are different. My good friend didn’t walk until she was 2. She saw her younger baby sibling walking and decided to walk, too. She knew how to walk, just chose to crawl until that point. A cousin of mine had to be the ..umm..most ‘special’ toddler I’d ever seen. Just seemed dim and slobbered a lot. Very cute and sweet, though. He’s a grown man, now, and perfectly fine.
Sandy Mae, could you do an article on people living functional lives with Autism and the incredible things that children are able to do because of it? I just want to help break this “Death Sentence ” like stigma behind it. It’s not always easy but……with early intervention, it can and will get easier. Thank u!
“lord knows that she’s not attractive”
——————————————————————-
This took me right on out. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
https://media2.giphy.com/media/13e4OMO2IVZloQ/giphy.gif
She’s was a model. Oh wow!!! Jesus was the whole fence I see. hmmmm
Oh ok because I was so confused because I didn’t think that just being John Legend’s wife would create such a buzz around her. Some of the people at my job adore her I’m like “Harpo who dis women” and why? LOL
?
Awww that’s so cute when they are tiny and causing that rukus like itty bitty dollies!!
OMG my son had a car walker too!! That ninja would run from place to place like a speed demon. When he actually started walking he would push the empty stroller instead of sit in it lol
14 MONTHS IS 1 YEAR OLD…DUH…HE’S WALKING AT THE NORMAL TIME….SMH…CALLING THE KID AUTISTIC SMH!
I asked my son’s pediatrician if my son should be tested because he wouldn’t talk. He said don’t worry about he will talk when he wants too. He really didn’t have too much to say beside me not like you, until he was three. Now at sixteen I wish he would be quiet.
Baby boy was walking at 10 months. He stood up took my lay’s and took off smh.
??? my mom said barney came on and I heard the intro and walked away lol.
Told yall once before I drove past this middle school bus and saw some space jam mutants getting off. Them girls looked like they had a full time job and a family lol.
Kids walk when they are ready… this baby may have had people giving him everything. Meaning that he did not have to go after anything. In frustration kids will work thru challenges.
My son walked at 10 months… trying to follow his cousin who was about 10 months older.
My daughter (incredibly independent) walked at 11 months I think. lol
Today it’s very difficult to get a definitive diagnosis because we see delays that’s not Autism related. Many kids outgrow perceived deficits!
If their son is Autistic, they have more resources than the average family!
It’s not a death sentence, and this whole “spectrum” diagnosis is still new and undeveloped!
Zoom into whatever it is that the child loves or does well, and in most cases, it’s astounding!
She helps LL Cool J with hosting Lip Sync Battle too. I kinda like huh on there
You are hilar….lol
Lol
The whole family..look like sisters&brothers. LOLOL! cute.
14 mos?? Helmets and short yellow busses is gonna be the par here.
My son walked at 13 months …. He was super lazy tho only child my husband carried that boy every where… He stayed on his neck or hip.. he be washing dishes holding the boy…. He’d mop the floor holding the boy .. he didn’t have a reason to walk … He’s 5 now and just fine
I have never had as much fun as I did last weeked….it was like black excellence everywhere I looked…all the men and women were just (I hate to say this) clean looking…like they run 3 miles a day and drink cucumber water all the time….it was majestic…and when I got to U street OMG…Those hotdogs from Ben’s chili bowl…I gotta go back soon…
Cute kids. *das it*
same w my kid
I’m sure your sitting on your fat bum looking like what you’ve been thru, but whew chile concentrate on fixing that face?????
Honey ignore that hobgoblin
My boo walked the other day. 9m??
So I just logged in to say… Now Sandra Dee Rose!!! You know better that to make an assumption like that about a baby…tread lightly Auntie. https://media3.giphy.com/media/K0WcdUdbq2N7q/giphy-downsized-medium.gif
I didn’t make any assumptions, hun. This post is for informational purposes only.
This post was mean and messy ? do better Sandra/Intern.
It was a lil shady, Sandy. But ok. ??
He’s too young to make that assessment anyhow Auntie…u shady tree you ?
Ugh, I just hate when someone says something interesting, something intelligent; of reason then comes that ignorance. Usually, I ignore but….feel like dragging folks today.
https://media0.giphy.com/media/lzJI5oa7sUsko/giphy.gif
me too
He’s beautiful, and he is not autistic.
14 months is concerning especially because he has an older sibling to run and play with. Let’s pray for him.
There’s reason to raise an eyebrow.
It’s too early to tell with little Miles. My son walked before he was one years old. He was hitting all his milestones until I saw a change at the age three with the lining up his cars and his speech being delayed. It came out of no where. With that being said, John and chrissy’s son might just have a small delay and isn’t autistic, some kids are just slower in some things doesn’t mean they’re autistic. ?????
My autistic son started walking at 8 1/2 months skipped right over crawling completely. He also started talking at at the same time, he continued walking, but stopped talking completely at about 15 months and didn’t start back until he was 3.
Well add more education into it. Make it a medical minute. I love those! I need one on bipolar people and men with mommy issues who never had a father figure.
Both my girls walked a about 8 months. All Imma say about this beautiful little boy is he look just like his daddy!!!!
My bad ass nephew was walking at 9 months Bad ass couldnt wait to get shit litty.
Yes and he does have Autism. The spectrum is huge. Every child with Autism is different. It can be frustrating because many are misinformed, so most people have their own idea of how an Autistic child looks or behaves. If your child doesn’t represent that, they don’t believe they have Autism. Doctors, therapists and specialists have always said my son is extremely bright but he still has Autism. A lot of kids who have Autism are bright, their brain is just wired a little differently, some more than others. That’s why I wasn’t pleased with you making such a blanket statement about Autistic kids.
Respectfully you are wrong . You can tell signs as early as 3months. Your child’s inability to make and keep eye contact. The baby often staring into space. Baby not making sounds etc.
I knew when my godson was an infant. I told his mom only in Hope’s of us working aggressively to combat or minimize it. They didnot speak to me for months. Yes the child was diagnosed later.
Not being prejudiced but I notice white families do everything to make there special needs child independent and social while alot of us do nothing or not consistent
Alot of times if caught early and death with the child can grow out of it or say least be independent
Now that’s disrespectful.
I agree…and extremely insensitive.
My son started walking two weeks ago and he celebrated his first birthday in May. Im not rushing my kid. When he’s ready to walk he’ll walk.. waiting for him to say some real words now… lol
Why even bring up Autism in this post. It’s plenty of babies who walk after they are 1year old and are very smart. Sometimes babies are too busy trying to figure other things out, they are fixated on their surroundings and thoughts. They are not yet interested in walking.
that little boy is handsome..
Boy’s are much slower than Girls….when they start walking
Right! my grandson was 9 months…hiding in my Pot’s under the Cabinet when i was looking for him! Badd!
Yes he does
awww both of their kids are adorable…..folks always want to diagnose a child over the smallest thing….smdh…let that baby live his life!!!
Love this comment!
There’s not a darn thing wrong with that beautiful baby boy! He walked a little late because we know darn well Chrissy carried him all the time and never let him walk. Late walking also happens to stroller babies. Some parents love stroller walks but you have to take the baby out walking practice too. It’s ok, the first son is always the most spoiled.
Agreed.
Babies do that. Keep walking a secret to themselves. Or when we first see them walk and react over excited we scare back into crawling. Babies have a mind of their own.
