FX Channel's groundbreaking LGBT+ series Pose was nominated for a total of 7 Emmy Awards. None of the transgender stars were nominated.

Male-to-female transgender cast members Mj Rodriguez, Indya Moore and Dominique Jackson did not receive nominations.

The series features five MTF transgenders - the most of any cable network series.

The nominations for the 2019 Emmys were announced Tuesday morning and Billy Porter nabbed a nomination for Pose, a drama that centers around New York's ballroom scene in the late 1980s and '90s that was decimated by the HIV virus.

Porter, who generally presents as a well-heeled male in real life, plays the flamboyant ballroom emcee and fashion designer Pray Tell in Pose.

HBO landed 137 Emmy nominations, while Netflix came in 2nd with 117 Emmy nominations, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Netflix's When They See Us scored 16 Emmy nominations for the Ava DuVernay-directed series.

The Netflix series chronicles the lives of five men at the center of the Central Park Five jogger rape case.
