Jamie Foxx was beside himself with pride after watching his daughter, Corinne Foxx make her big screen debut in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. Father and daughter attended the Los Angeles premiere with his youngest daughter, Analise, 10, on Tuesday. Jamie, 51, couldn’t wait to brag about his firstborn daughter’s acting skills on Instagram.com.
“Brilliant performance!!!!!! God is beyond great!!! My daughter just stunned everybody in Hollywood tonight!!!” he wrote in an Instagram post.
In another Instagram post, he wrote, “Not only was she amazing the movie is a must see!!! So proud of her!!! She put that work in!! Please please everybody go see her movie this Friday!!! August 16th!! #daddydaughtertime”.
Later, in an Instagram story, Jamie couldn’t hold back the tears. “I’m crying in the car. I don’t know what to do. I got butterflies. This is amazing. My baby did great!”
Corinne said her father didn’t hesitate to give her acting tips while constantly FaceTiming her on the set. “My dad’s acting advice is the worst,” she said.
The underwater thriller also stars Sylvester Stallone’s 21-year-old daughter, Sistine Rose Stallone.
In the shark drama, four teenage girls (Corinne Foxx, Sistine Stallone, Sophie Nélisse, and Brianne Tju) go diving in an underwater cave looking for lost treasure. They quickly realize they entered the territory of the deadliest shark species in the submerged caves. The girls must rely on each other to get out safely.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sistine Rose joked that she FaceTimed her dad from the set for daily acting advice. She said the Rambo star didn’t always see eye-to-eye with her director, Johannes Roberts. Sistine said her dad told her, “This is what you should be doing… Instead of swimming away, confront the shark head-on’, which I don’t think would’ve play out well.”
