Kenya Moore and Marc Daly are back on the market. The reality TV couple is heading to divorce court after Kenya found out about his secret family!
People.com reports Kenya filed divorce papers “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances.”
Kenya, 48, and Marc, 49, tied the knot in a bucolic setting on St. Lucia Beach in June 2017.
Their separation comes less than a year after she gave birth to their first child, daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly, on Nov. 4, 2018.
Gossip blogger B. Scott reports exclusively that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star found out her husband was keeping a secret from her: he had a secret ex-wife and at least 2 other children that he forgot to tell her about! (Don’t you hate when that happens?)
Scott says Marc’s ex-wife divorced him after a year of marriage.
Despite the unfortunate circumstances of their marriage, Kenya and Marc were together at a cast taping on Thursday. They seemed fine, but Kenya obviously had a lot on her mind.
In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Kenya asked for privacy while she embarks on single motherhood without a man to help raise her daughter in the same household.
“It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly. Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”
But Marc gave his own statement to PEOPLE, saying it was HIS decision to dump Kenya.
“I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible. I cherish our family’s good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way. Rumors, innuendo or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period.”
The former couple appeared together on Tamron Hall’s new talk show, where Kenya discussed injecting herself with fertility drugs to conceive her daughter via in vitro fertilization (IVF).
