Rapper 2 Chainz nearly sent social media into a frenzy when he announced rapper Tekashi69 was released from jail and he bumped into him in New York City.

In a hilarious video, 2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, informed his followers that he ran into Tekashi69 on the street on Wednesday.

“I just ran into him too and y’all ain’t gonna put y’all motherf**king hands on him either!” the 42-year-old rapper added, before gesturing toward a giant inflatable rodent – a symbol of anti-union strikebreakers – on the back of a pickup truck.

Tekashi, real name Daniel Hernandez, was arrested last November and later pleaded guilty to nine federal charges including racketeering, conspiracy, firearms offenses and drugs trafficking.

In accordance with a plea deal that could set him free as early as next year, Hernandez turned government witness and testified against his former Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang associates, ensuring he will be looking over his shoulders for the rest of his life.

His decision to name his fellow gang members sparked outrage among fellow rappers, including Snoop Dogg who labeled him a “snitch”.

Tekashi is currently behind bars, as prosecutors fear for his safety. Jury deliberations in the trial began on Wednesday, WENN.com reports.
