Amanda Seales lashed out at Kim Kardashian West for a controversial photo shoot in which she appears a few shades darker.
Kim is accused of wearing “blackface” in a photo shoot for 7 Hollywood magazine. The mother-of-four sparked outrage after she released images from the shoot on social media on Thursday.
She captioned the images: “WHAT A DREAM.”
“Are you f***ing kidding me?” Amanda wrote in all caps in the caption of a repost of Kim’s photo.
In a video on Instagram.com, Amanda compared Kim’s pose to a similar pose by Beyonce Knowles-Carter, and she claimed Kim was emulating Diahann Carroll and Diana Ross.
“Honestly, what is there to say? What is there to say? Cause what folks will say is ‘But she has black children.’ Stop it. ‘But she’s Middle Eastern.’ Stop it. ‘But she’s helping black people get out of jail.’ Stop! Drop! Shut em down open up… Stop it! ‘But she’s channeling Elizabeth Taylor’ Stop it. Stop it. Stop it….”
She continued:
“You should care that someone is trying to take your rhythm but they don’t know your blues… This is basic. This family is notorious for appropriating Black culture. They do not have any grievance about it. They don’t give reverence. They don’t pay homage. No, they mimic; they take; they commodify…”
