Dwyane Wade fired back at concerned Internet users who questioned his parenting skills when his wife, actress Gabrielle Union posted an Instagram photo of Wade’s 12-year-old son, Zion Wade, wearing a crop top, leggings and sharp acrylic nail tips.
Mothers everywhere were shocked and saddened by the boy’s sexually suggestive attire. They criticized Wade on social media. But the retired 37-year-old NBA player asked them to kindly mind their own business while he raised Zion as he saw fit.
Gossipmongers wondered aloud if Wade’s ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches – who was SO outspoken during their bitter divorce – had something to say about Wade and Union exploiting her son to advance their careers.
Siohvaughn, a 38-year-old author who first dated Wade in high school, has not said a word publicly – probably because she’s under a very restrictive non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
According to MTOnews.com, Siohvaughn is making some explosive allegations against the NBA baller.
In throwback videos, that were coincidentally re-uploaded to YouTube on Dec. 2nd, Siohvaughn claims that she suffered physical and mental abuse at the hands of her ex-husband.
“I saw him sell his soul. I saw him taking his character and exchanging it for yet another endorsement,” she told Successful Ladies Live in a series of interviews.
She also said Wade beat her while she was pregnant with Zion. Siohvaughn, who said she was mentally abuse by Wade, may have transferred that negative energy to her unborn baby. The boy was born into a dysfunctional home filled with violence and hate.
Siohvaughn told Successful Ladies Live:
“I woke up in the middle of the night. I was sick – obviously because of the pregnancy. And I noticed that [Dwyane] wasn’t in the house. And so I was calling him because it was like 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning, and we went to bed together…
“He finally got back several hours later. I was very upset… [Dwyane] started cursing and calling me names. Telling me ‘Shut the F up’, ‘Women talk too much’ and ‘You should know your place’.
“Then it turned to physical violence. He picked me up, and threw me down. He threw me down so hard, that when my back hit the ottoman it broke into pieces. And my head and back hit the marble floor.
“After that I immediately got up and went to the phone, and went to call the police. He snatched the phone out of my hand and slammed it into my body, so hard the phone broke into pieces.”
She said she begged him not to enter the NBA draft because she knew the money and instant fame would break her family apart.
Siohvaughn also says Wade cheated on her constantly after he signed his NBA contract. She must have felt vindicated when Wade’s 3rd son, Xavier, was born to a California woman six years ago – while he was dating Gabrielle Union, 47.
Watching Siohvaughn speak so openly about the abuse she allegedly endured – all while struggling to keep her family together in 2007 – will touch the hearts of women who can relate to Siohvaughn’s emotional story.
