Tyler, the Creator finally won a Grammy award for Best Rap Album at the Staples Center on Sunday.
Tyler was apparently insulted on Aug. 25, 2011 when a follower told him he would never win a Grammy.
Hours after winning his first-ever Grammy, the petty rapper dug deep into his Twitter favorites for the tweet he saved 9 years ago.
“I FAVORITED THIS 9 YEARS AGO JUST FOR THE MOMENT TO TELL YOU I GOT ONE. YES IM PETTY AS FUCK, GOOD DAY MARK,” he tweeted.
Amongst the well wishers was rapper/actor Jaden Smith, who tweeted: “My Boyfriend Just Won a Grammy.”
Jaden previously tweeted that he and Tyler were involved in a same-sex relationship. But most people took his revelation as a joke, since Jaden is heterosexual.
