Philadelphia police are searching for a man who stole $500,000 worth of jewelry from Allen Iverson’s backpack at a Philadelphia hotel.
The incident happened on Monday around 10:30 a.m. at the Sofitel Hotel located on S. 17th Street, WPVI reported.
Sources confirmed the suspect stole the jewelry from Iverson’s backpack. Iverson was not present at the time the jewelry was stolen.
Surveillance video shows the suspect exiting the hotel after the theft.
The man is described as a 20-year-old Black male. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, red shirt, dark pants and black and white sneakers.
Iverson, 44, an 11-time NBA All-Star, was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the first overall pick in 1996. He played 10 seasons for the 76ers before being traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2006.
