Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been officially removed from the Royal Family display at Madame Tussauds in London, England, RadarOnline.com reported.

The wax figures were removed after the couple announced their intentions to abdicate from the monarchy following their secret move to Toronto, Canada.

In a shocking announcement on Wednesday, Harry and Megan said they would “step back” from their royal duties and work toward gaining their financial independence from British taxpayers.

On Thursday, their wax figures were unceremoniously removed from a display featuring replicas of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“From today Meghan and Harry’s figures will no longer appear in our Royal Family set,” said Steve Davies, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London.

“Alongside the rest of the world we are reacting to the surprising news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be stepping back as senior Royals.”

The wax figures will remain in storage at Tussauds London – in case the ex-Royals change their minds and return to their royal duties.
