Genea Sky, the Dallas stripper who fell 20 feet from a stripper pole and fractured her jaw, had reconstructive surgery, thanks to $32,000 in donations to her GoFundMe account.
Sky suffered a broken jaw when she fell off the pole while entertaining a packed house at the XTC Cabaret in Dallas. But, she got up and continued twerking, because a working girl has bills to pay.
Some skeptics doubted Sky injured herself during the fall, so she posted an image of herself giving a thumbs up from her hospital bed.
“Today has been a very long day. My surgery went well,” Sky wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. “My jaw is currently wired shut so please refrain from calling me as of right now and bare with me on replies because my phone hasn’t stopped blowing up.”
Earlier, Sky thanked her fans after the video of her fall went viral.
“Originally I didn’t plan on posting about this situation at all,” she said in a YouTube video. “But obviously the video has gone viral and I’m getting a lot of messages asking me if I’m ok. I pretty much broke my jaw and I have to have surgery on it [on Monday],” she said. “Aside from that, I’m good.”
