Dozens of ghey men caught the coronavirus after attending the annual LGBTQ Winter Party Festival in Miami, Florida last month.
At least 38 ghey men were infected with the virus after attending the party, but the real number of infected may be much higher.
The coronavirus causes COVID-19 that results in acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and potentially fatal pneumonia among the elderly, particularly those with chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, respiratory and heart problems, obesity, and smokers.
At least three men are dead from coronavirus after attending the party. Many more are infected or may be infected but didn’t get tested or make the test results public.
The dead men were ages 40, 65 and 67. The party organizers know of 38 people who attended the event who were later diagnosed with the virus. Many more – perhaps hundreds more – may have been infected and died.
A ghey doctor in Boston who attended the party and tested positive for the virus said he shared a house in Miami with two other ghey men who had symptoms of the virus but were not tested.
Thousands of gheys from around the world attended the Winter Party in early March, defying public health officials’ warnings against large gatherings of over 250 people, according to LGBTQ Nation.
