Gucci Mane found himself in hot water on Sunday after tweeting that he prays his “haters die of coronavirus”.

The Miami rapper took to Twitter early on Easter Sunday to share the shockingly insensitive post, tweeting: “I pray my haters die of corona virus”. He also shared a photo of himself on Instagram featuring the same quote.

As WENN went to press, the Twitter post garnered over 3,100 comments and the Instagram post showed more than 13,500 responses with the majority slamming the “Big Booty” star for his remark, as well as the timing of it.

“Man you need some online church services and a hug. This is the worst timed tweet ever,” tweeted mixed martial artist Gerald Harris. “There are people actually mourning the loss of loved ones now, due to the virus. Bad move big homie.”

“I am agnostic and I still think this Tweet is incredibly immature particularly on a holy day,” another user wrote.

The rapper didn’t let the backlash change his attitude, however, choosing to leave the tweet up instead of deleting it.
