On Tuesday, Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband Will Smith denied allegations suggesting she had a yearslong fling with singer August Alsina.

And just to make sure everyone got the message, her representative reached out to bloggers on Wednesday to shoot down the allegations.

The “No Love” singer made the claims in an interview with New York radio personality Angela Yee.

He said he personally received the blessing of A-list actor Will Smith to pursue his lonely wife.

August said the couple’s 23-year marriage had evolved into a more platonic “life partnership”.

“I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation,” August said. “Due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they spoke on several times, and not involving romanticism, he gave me his blessing.”

August explained the deep emotional bond he’d developed with the older woman who convinced him it was love.

“I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life. I truly and really, really deeply loved, and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it. So much so to the point that I can die right now and be OK with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody. I really loved the person that I experienced that (with) and know what (that feels) like – if some people never get that in this lifetime.”

But the 48-year-old Girls Trip star denied the allegations through her spokesperson, who told the New York Post the claims are “absolutely not true”.

August, 27, was introduced to Jada in 2015 by her 21-year-old son, Jaden, and he even joined the Smith family on vacation in Hawaii in 2016.

Jada and Will are also parents to Willow, 19.
