Conchata Ferrell, the actress who played Charlie Sheen‘s quick-witted housekeeper on “Two and a Half Men” — is in a long-term care facility after suffering a heart attack.
Conchata’s husband, Arnie, tells TMZ, the actress — best known for her role as Berta — was recently transferred to a long-term care facility following more than 4 weeks in ICU.
The 77-year-old actress was admitted into the ICU in May after falling ill with an infection in December/January.
The actress, who once tipped the scales at 300 pounds, was not diagnosed with coronavirus.
Conchata suffered a cardiac arrest and renal failure while in ICU, according to her husband. She was transferred to a treatment center Arnie describes as a respiratory unit where she is on a respirator and dialysis.
Her condition is stable and she is “somewhat aware of her surroundings, but can’t talk or communicate,” according to Arnie.
Arnie tells TMZ he speaks with Conchata’s nurse daily but he can’t visit her due to COVID-19.
“It’s going to be a while before there’s any recovery,” Arnie said. “It’s all neurological. There’s nothing we can do to speed up the process. We are hoping for the best.”
