Questlove and his band The Roots are in hot water after singer Jaguar Wright claims they were in the studio when R. Kelly seduced young girls a backroom.
In a livestream video, Wright, 43, claimed Questlove, real name Ahmir Thompson, was in a Philadelphia studio when the disgraced R&B singer seduced young girls in a back room.
In a video captioned, “Threatening me? I’m ready,” Wright expressed regret for not speaking out about Kelly’s alleged inappropriate behavior with young girls.
“Do you know how responsible I feel for all the women that I let get hurt because I didn’t say nothing,” she said.
“Look at R. Kelly… The Roots was around when that ni–a was in the A room, sending his mf driver off to go get girls…”
Wright went on to say “a member of The Roots” specifically told her to mind her own business if she wanted to keep her career.
The studio is about 5 miles from Simon Gratz High School, one of the schools mentioned by Wright in her video.
Kelly, 53, is currently in a Chicago detention facility awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
Questlove, the 49-year-old famed drummer for The Roots who served as in-house band for The Tonight Show, was among the celebrities who opted out of Lifetime’s documentary series, Surviving R. Kelly, last year.
At the time, Questlove claimed he was being asked to acknowledge Kelly’s “genius” as the reason for his refusal to appear in the documentary produced by journalist dream hampton.
Wright shocked fans of rapper Common when she alleged he tried to sexually assault her while she was on tour with him.

Talib need to speak up. Can't make threats to expose Jaguar. She seems to have a valid point. A LOTTA the Okayplayer crew seem to be silent on THE DEATH OF MALIK B.
I dunno if y'all been listening to the Roots since 1993 or Organix, but people who have know Malik is OG
