Gucci is taking the distressed look to another level by reimagining denim jeans with artificial grass stains around the knee area. The jeans retail for $676 USD.
According to Gucci’s website, the wide leg, Eco washed organic denim is “specifically treated for a stained-like, distressed effect.”
“Gucci explores new takes on the cult fabric, reinterpreting it with different designs and washing techniques that blur the line between vintage and contemporary. All organic cotton leftovers from the cutting process for this product are then upcycled into new materials under the “Gucci Up” program. Pieces with versatile ways to wear and style embrace each person who is part of the House’s individual spirit.”
Men’s overalls featuring fake grass stains retails for $1,400. Other jeans look like they were dipped in mud or dog poo.
The Eco washed organic denim pant is already sold out on the U.S. version of Gucci’s website. But you can still order it on the UK website, while supplies last.
