B. Smith‘s widower Dan Gasby is a single man again after his girlfriend, Alexandra Lerner, dumped him.
In a recent interview, a broken Gasby revealed his girlfriend left him after Smith died from complications of Alzheimer’s.
“She took off and, uh, whatever.”
He claimed Lerner (pictured left with B. Smith) never lived with him and Smith. “She was there on weekends – twice a month.”
Fans of the late lifestyle guru were shocked and saddened after Gasby, 65, allegedly moved his girlfriend into their Long Island mansion while Smith battled Alzheimer’s.
Smith was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2013. She announced her diagnosis in 2016 to help raise awareness of the debilitating disease.
B. Smith passed away in February at age 70.
Smith was only the second Black model to grace the cover of Mademoiselle magazine.
After retiring from modeling, she opened three successful restaurants and published several best-selling cookbooks.
Smith launched her own home goods line at Bed, Bath and Beyond, and she hosted a half-hour television show, B. Smith With Style.
