Mark Cuban is “disgusted” by the images of well-dressed Congress members attending the White House Christmas party on Thursday.
Cuban was upset by images of Congress members attending the White House Christmas party in designer ballgowns and tuxedos, while millions of Americans are homeless, starving and unemployed.
The “Shark Tank” star was irate when he saw TMZ’s video of tuxedoed lawmakers Steve King, Jim Jordan, Doug Lamborn and others entering the White House on Thursday night.
Many frustrated Americans note that politicians used a virus as a political weapon to destroy small businesses while Congress members party on the American taxpayers’ dime.
“I mean, it’s shameful, it’s stomach turning,” said Cuban. “Look, no one’s against someone celebrating Christmas and the holidays — more power to them. But the timing, the circumstances, you know, do your job …get stimulus to the people — we need it desperately!”
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Friday rejected a $900 billion Covid-19 aid relief package that would have sent at least $600 to Americans whose unemployment benefits will run out on Dec. 26.
“Right now people are hungry. We have food lines in Dallas miles long,” said Cuban, who added that his foundation and the Dallas Mavericks gave 10,000 meals away.
Cuban called on politicians to put aside their selfish differences and approve a stimulus package for Americans who put them in office.
