Former professional boxer Viviane Obenauf, 34, is suspected of beating her husband to death at their apartment in Switzerland.
Police say Obenauf bludgeoned her husband, Thomas, to death with a blunt object. The 61-year-old died of massive head injuries from a “sustained violent assault.”
The couple had only been married since January 2020. They lived in the Swiss town of Interlaken, where she had opened a gym and he owned a restaurant named “Del Alpes,” according to The Sun.

Blick news outlet reported Obenauf was arrested in 2016 at a nightclub after she knocked out a man who groped her at a party where she was celebrating her 30th birthday.
Obenauf won three title bouts during her career and held two World Boxing Federation international titles before retiring last year. She won 14 of 20 professional fights.
Domestic violence against men is on the rise, according to a National Family Violence Survey.
A new study reveals that more men were killed by women in 2017 than in the decade prior. The figures aren’t in yet for 2018-2020, but the statistics of women killing men are expected to soar.
