Wendy Williams aired out her family’s dirty laundry during Monday’s segment of The Wendy Williams Show.
Over the weekend, Thomas Williams Jr., Wendy’s older brother, accused her of skipping their mother’s funeral and having lunch with her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter Sr., who cheated on her throughout most of their marriage.
Wendy was shocked and annoyed that her brother forced her to be the subject of her own “Hot Topics.”
In early December, the talk show host revealed her mother Shirley Williams had passed away in early 2020, but Wendy waited “many, many months” to causally announce her mother’s death to her audience.
According to her brother, Wendy’s son, Kevin Hunter Jr., and his father attended the funeral, but Wendy, 56, callously skipped her own mother’s funeral without explanation, then had lunch with Hunter Sr.
“My mother always said stand by your family and your sisters,” he said. “But what makes somebody not go to their mother’s funeral? I don’t understand not giving a salute to the one person who was always there and showed you support. I don’t understand how a person cannot go to a funeral and hold up the one person or the family member that you do have, the parent that you do have left, and just move on. Keep it moving. I don’t understand how to keep loving somebody who would cause that type of pain.”
Tommy thanked his former brother-in-law, Kevin, for attending his mom’s funeral.
“Wendy’s ex Kevin came out to support the family and I appreciate that. There’s no malice that I have towards him, will never be there. He made a choice, it was a poor choice and it was the one that broke the camel’s back — but I appreciate him coming to the funeral for my mother.”
Wendy showed more emotion attacking her brother on Monday than she did announcing her own mother’s passing.
“Tommy, let me tell you something right now, all you are is my brother. You better stop talking the way you’re talking because it is now dripping onto my comment page. See I wasn’t searching for Tommy.”
She said her brother portrayed her as cold and unemotional — when she is none of those things — and he’d better stop right now or she would spill his and his wife’s tea on her show.
She even threw shade by dropping the word “pegging” while chastising her brother.
Webster’s Dictionary defines “pegging” as “a sexual practice in which a woman performs anal sex on a man by penetrating his anus with a strap-on dildo.”
“He is pegging me to be a person that I am not. Honey [lip smack], you don’t want me to start pegging you to be the person that you are [lip smack] with full blown receipts. I could fill the audience with receipts…”
She added, “You are my brother. Let’s keep it that way. If you wanna talk on the internet, then you talk about the things that you think you know about yourself. You don’t wanna talk about the things that I know about you [lip smack] for sure.
