Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez stayed up all night after Page Six broke the bombshell news of their breakup.
Lopez and Rodriguez released a statement on Saturday morning saying they are “working through some things.”
“All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things,” they said in a statement obtained by Page Six.
But sources say Lopez, 51, remains in the Dominican Republic working on her new film while Rodriguez is solo in Miami.
“They are trying to work through things… but it’s unclear if that means they are staying together,” the source said.
The news of their breakup was expected by bloggers who put 2+2 together even before “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy confessed that Rodriguez called her and they FaceTimed each other.
Lopez reportedly dumped Rodriguez just two years after he dropped to one knee and proposed to her on a beach.
A source close to the former couple tells E! News exclusively, it was J.Lo’s decision to end the relationship – and it had to do with realizing she may not be able to trust the 45-year-old retired baseball star.
“Jennifer has ended things with Alex, after months of questioning things and fighting, Jennifer felt like she could no longer trust Alex anymore.”
The source says that the relationship problems started well before LeCroy was accused of stepping out on her then – boyfriend Austen Kroll with a “retired, married MLB player.”
Fans on social media guessed the ex-MLB player was Rodriguez even though he wasn’t married – he was engaged to Lopez.
A social media sleuth went back and found photos of LeCroy that Rodriguez liked.
One of A-Rod’s biggest mistakes was allowing his friends to lie for him when the LeCroy story broke.
“He doesn’t know this woman,” an insider told the New York Post. “Look, does this mean he didn’t DM her and liked a photo or two? I guess not, but he doesn’t know her — and he definitely didn’t hook up with her.”
But another insider told Page Six that the two did hook up and they were intimate with each other.
On Friday, after the news broke of her breakup with Rodriguez, Lopez shared a photo on Instagram Story that showed her daughter, Emme, crying while her father, Latin singer Marc Anthony, consoled her.
J-Lo has been cheated on numerous times. She knows all the signs and signals that her man is cheating on her.
In 2019, Lopez told PEOPLE she didn’t want to rush into her fourth marriage.
She said “it will happen naturally when and if it’s supposed to.”
She added, “I rushed into three different marriages. At this point I want to be sure.”
