A Birmingham woman who allegedly killed a 52-year-old woman during a street racing crash has been arrested a second time.
Carmesia Flannigan was arrested by Atlanta police for violating the terms of her bond after she allegedly killed an innocent victim during a street race in Birmingham.
She was charged with murder, leaving the scene of an accident with injury and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
The victim, Brandy Ballard, a 52-year-old healthcare worker, was on her way home from work at 6:10 a.m. on March 21 when she was killed in a head on collision.
In a Facebook Live video following her initial arrest, Flannigan blamed the victim for the car crash. “That old ass lady swerved in my lane,” Flannigan said.
Flannigan denied speeding in her 2010 Chevrolet Camaro before she allegedly hit Ballard’s 2007 Ford Focus head on.
Flannigan claimed she was driving a “2020 droptop Camaro” when Ballard swerved into her lane. She threatened viewers on the livestream after her mother posted her $175,000 bond.
Her mother, who paid her bond in March, also cussed out Flannigan’s Facebook Live viewers.
