Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck appear to be an item again after she reportedly split up (again) from longtime fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
Jennifer, 51, and her ex-fiancé Ben, 48, have been spotted hanging out together in recent days. Ben broke up with his last girlfriend, Ana de Armas, in January.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, J.Lo’s security staff have been seen picking Ben up at the Hotel Bel-Air and ferrying him to Jennifer’s home in Los Angeles.
“Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house,” a source explains.
However, insiders insist the relationship is purely platonic for now, explaining, “They are friends… They’ve never not been.”
Ben was recently photographed exiting J.Lo’s white Escalade SUV with a green backpack in his hand.
A source told People on Saturday, May 1, that the two are still fond of one another, explaining, “They have spent time together in L.A. over the past week. They have a lot of love for each other. They have always admired each other. They obviously have a romantic history, but at this point, they only have a friendship. They both admire each other professionally, respect one another, and feel comfortable with each other.”
Jen and Ben were a power couple back in the early 2000s. Sparks flew after they met at an industry event in July 2002. Months later, she invited Ben to play her love interest in her music video for “Jenny From the Block.”
They also starred together in Ben’s 2004 comedy-drama film Jersey Girl. The lovebirds are pictured in a still from the movie.
Ben and Jen dated for 18 months from 2002 to 2004. They called off their wedding just days before the ceremony in 2003. They announced their split in 2004.
Sometime before or after their split, J.Lo met Latin heartthrob Marc Anthony who swept her off her feet. They tied the knot months later in 2004. Despite jumping the broom early, Jen and Marc’s marriage lasted 10 years. They share 13-year-old twins, Emme and Maximillian.
Ben is a very hands on dad with his three children, Samuel, Violet and Seraphina, from his 10 year marriage to actress Jennifer Garner, 49 (2005-2015).
They are photographed attending their son Samuel’s swim meet on Saturday, May 1, in Brentwood, Calif.
Meanwhile, Alex flew into Hartford, CT on his private jet on Sunday, May 2. The retired baseball star was in town for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.
