Steph Curry‘s mom, Sonya Curry is reportedly in negotiations to join the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, according to reports.
The remarkably fit 55-year-old filed for divorce from her husband of 33 years, Dell Curry, on June 14 in a North Carolina court. The couple accused each other of cheating throughout their 33-year marriage.
Curry, 57, accused Sonya of cheating on him with former NFL player Steve Johnson, a 6th-round pick in the 1988 NFL Draft.
Dell claims Sonya is living with Johnson, a millionaire commercial developer, in Tennessee.
Now that Sonya is free to do what she pleases, she is reportedly in talks with Bravo to star on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
A Bravo executive tells MTO News, “Sonya has wanted to be a reality star for years. She and Dell pitched a couple of shows to [Bravo].”
It isn’t clear if Sonya’s children, NBA stars Steph Curry and Seth Curry and daughter Sydel Curry, agreed to appear in the series.
According to an insider, Bravo passed on all the shows that Sonya pitched to the NBC Universal owned network. The executive continued, “Their ideas were boring, and [Sonyas now ex-husband] Dell didn’t want any excitement or drama in the show.”
Now that Dell is out of the way, Sonya is open to joining the cast of RHOBH.
“We’re working on getting her on the Beverly Hills [Housewives]. Nothings signed yet, but I think she’ll be a part of next season’s cast,” Bravo’s insider told MTO News.
Most of the women in the RHOBH cast are spinsters in their 40s and 50s – so Sonya would fit right in.
