Rapper Tip “T.I.” Harris is thankful that Xscape signed a record deal in 1992 – or he may have never met the Love of his life.

The group, from Atlanta, Ga, signed to Jermaine Dupri‘s boutique label So So Def in 1992, and released their debut album Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha in 1993.

The album spawned two hit singles “Just Kickin’ It” and “Understanding.”

The album cover for Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha featured LaTocha Scott, her sister Tamika Scott, Kandi Burruss, and a petite 4-foot-10 powerhouse singer named Tameka “Tiny” Cottle.

In an Instagram post on Oct. 12, T.I. reminisced about the first time he laid eyes on his future wife on the cover of Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha in 1993.

“So as the calendar has made clear it’s been 28yrs since this album came out and allowed me to set my sights on the lady of my life.
