Kierra Sheard-Kelly tells Page Six that she rents hotel rooms for her girlfriends to keep them away from her husband.

The anointed gospel singer says that when her girlfriends come to visit, they don’t stay overnight in her home. She makes them stay at a hotel so her husband won’t be tempted to have sex with them.

The 34-year-old Detroit native was brought up in a family of gospel singers in West Bloomfield.

When it comes to men, Kierra learned from the best — gospel music legend Karen Clark Sheard, 61, who warned her daughter to avoid bringing her single friends around her man.

“My momma has already told me don’t have too many people around your house. I don’t care how good you trust them or whatever it is, I’m very mindful and careful. I would buy a friend a hotel room before I let them stay at my house.”

She added:

“Am I supposed to let them into my home? Because we as believers, we believe that what we have we are supposed to share with others, but I’m not sharing my man. Since I’m not sharing my man, I have to be cautious with everything else that I share as far as with him being there too.”

Kierra doesn’t blame her man for being tempted. She understands that the male sex drive is very strong and men are wired to be sexually attracted to child-bearing women.

Instead, she blames women for tempting the weaker sex.

“I think it’s such a thing as boundaries. Some friends don’t know that balance and can’t understand the balance,” Kierra said.

Kierra and her husband Jordan Kelly were married in a traditional wedding ceremony on Dec. 12, 2020.

So far, Jordan hasn’t cheated on Kierra — and she plans to keep it that way.
