Ivana Trump's death is determined to be accidental, according to an autopsy report released on Friday. She died as a result of "blunt impact injuries to the torso."
A law enforcement source told Fox News that police responded to a call from someone requesting a wellness check because he hadn't seen her in a while.
According to the NYPD, Ivana Trump was found unresponsive at the bottom of the stairs just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the autopsy was completed on Friday.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, former President Donald Trump remembered his first ex-wife as a "wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life."
"Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric," he wrote. "She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her."
Ivana and Trump married in 1977 and divorced in 1992 after Trump had an extramarital affair with socialite Marla Maples.
