Ne-Yo‘s estranged wife Crystal Renay Smith filed for divorce after the singer fathered a child with another woman.
According to TMZ, Crystal Renay filed divorce documents in an Atlanta courtroom earlier this week saying the couple’s marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.”
Crystal, 35, is asking for primary physical custody of their three kids and joint legal custody. She’s also asking for child support and alimony.
The couple previously broke up in February 2020 after she caught him cheating.
Ne-Yo convinced Crystal to take him back for the sake of the children. They celebrated their vows with a “second” wedding in Las Vegas earlier this year.
But this time Crystal refuses to take him back. She said she is “heartbroken and disgusted” by his rampant cheating with paid escorts, strippers and groupies over the past 8 years.
Crystal pleaded with her social media followers to stop sending her receipts of his philandering.
“8 years. 8 years of lies and deception,” Crystal wrote. “8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous … women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them!”
She added that Ne-Yo was a narcissist who expected her to stay at home with their kids and accept that men cheat.
“To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is happening it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect.”
