Beloved weatherman Al Roker was rushed back to the hospital just one day after he was discharged home.

Roker, 68, was hospitalized in early November with blood clots in his leg and lungs. On Nov. 18, he updated his Instagram followers, explaining why he had been absent from the NBC morning show for two weeks.

He was discharged from the hospital on Thursday, in time to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with his wife, ABC journalist Deborah Roberts, 62, and their three adult children.

In his latest Instagram post, Roker is surrounded by his family in a photo. He captioned the image: “So very #thankful to be able to be home for #thanksgiving #dinner with #family.”

But on Friday, he was rushed back to the Uptown Manhattan hospital. Sources close to the Roker family told Page Six he was carried out of his Upper East Side home on a stretcher, while his wife frantically tried to break into her malfunctioning Tesla to get her cell phone.

“Al was taken from his home in a stretcher back to the hospital on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving,” an unnamed source told Page Six. “His condition was worrying, but once back in the hospital, he improved.”

The source added that Roker’s wife was “understandably very upset.”

“She had left her phone and other possessions inside their Tesla, which had malfunctioned and wouldn’t unlock, so she was trying to smash in a window.”

Sources say Roker will miss out on the lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center Wednesday night after already missing NBC’s annual coverage of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Roker’s friends and family are reportedly concerned that the hospital discharged him home too soon.
