Michael’s interview comes days after reality TV star Jamie Lopez died from heart failure at age 37 after losing 400 pounds.

DJ Vlad argued that the public treats Lizzo worse than DJ Khaled, which Vlad considers sexist.

In response, Michael stated that Black women are also subject to racism when it comes to beauty standards. He said Lizzo’s rise to fame has emboldened other women who are overweight, and that isn’t necessarily a good thing.

The 55-year-old actor, pictured with his wife, Gillian, also discussed trying to help his parents change their dietary habits to lose weight. DJ Vlad talked about soul food and why the ingredients are so unhealthy for Black people.

DJ Vlad also expressed his regret for not recommending that DJ Kay Slay take the mRNA vaccine before he died from COVID-related complications.
