A 19-year-old Disney College Prep intern who went missing on Dec. 22 was found safe in Houston, Texas on Monday.

Marisia Burton was with a Mexican man when she turned up at a Houston police station asking to be removed from the missing persons list. Police called her family and advised them to get there quickly.

Marisia’s desperate family, who were in Orlando searching for her, pleaded with social media users in the Houston area to go to the police station where Marisia was being questioned by police.

Cell phone video shows supporters surrounding the police station on January 2nd and refusing to leave.

A police officer went outside to inform them that investigators were trying to determine if Marisia is a sex trafficking victim. The officer said Marisia is a consenting adult who is free to leave at any time.

Family members had not seen or heard from her since Dec. 22, 2022. The family was concerned that foul play might be involved in her disappearance.

Marisia, who is from Houston, was last seen at Disney’s housing community at Flamingo Crossings East in Winter Garden, Florida, near Orlando.

According to posts by other CPs on Reddit.com, the Disney college program is very strict. Missing one day of work without a valid excuse may result in termination from the program.

According to a co-worker, Marisia allegedly told her sister she quit the program rather than be terminated after missing a day of work. But that information has not been verified.

“My daughter is a CP. She was there for a year in 2019 and she’s been there almost a year this time. She called me as soon as she saw the flyer. The CPs in the group started asking questions to try and get as much info as possible in order to help. That’s when people started noticing some issues with the story. It’s just odd that none of this young lady’s coworkers, roommates, or leaders have said anything. They said she worked at Caribbean Beach in quick service, but the costume she’s wearing in the photo being shared is from Hollywood Studios.”

Disney has not issued a statement about the case.
