Twitter approves of Taylor Swift featuring female-to-male transgender Laith Ashley as her love interest in her new “Lavender Haze” music video.
The music video dropped at midnight on Friday and received over 600,000 ‘likes’ and 3 million views so far on YouTube.
The song is about a woman who is high on drugs when she spots a bearded weatherman on TV through a lavender haze.
Taylor and the weatherman (played by Laith) hook up and spend the night together.
The LGBT+ community is ecstatic and expressed appreciation to the pop superstar. They say Taylor’s music video is a huge step toward “normalizing” heterosexual-transgender relationships.
