The Internet is buzzing over NeNe Leakes‘ engagement to fashion designer Nyonisela Sioh. The widowed mom-of-two shared a photo of her beautiful engagement ring on her Facebook page.
The shocking announcement left fans wondering if Sioh is still married to his long-suffering wife, Malomine Tehmeh-Sioh. They share a minor child together.
Sioh, 60, filed for divorce from his estranged wife in 2022 after six years of marriage.
He listed their separation date as September 2021, which means he cheated on her with NeNe while they were still married. Sioh and NeNe, 55, went Instagram official in December 2021 — months after they began dating.
Fans wonder why NeNe is rushing down the aisle when Sioh’s divorce isn’t finalized yet.
Tehmeh-Sioh sued NeNe for $100,000 in 2022 for alienation of affection — also known as the “homewrecker” lawsuit.
Alienation of affection is recognized in multiple states, including North Carolina, Mississippi and South Dakota, but not in Georgia where NeNe resides.
“Alienation of affection lawsuits are usually filed against third-party lovers, but anyone that interfered with a marriage can be named as a defendant, such as parents, in-laws, clergy members, and even therapists who recommended divorce to a deserting spouse.”
Sioh, 60, who is originally from Liberia, is founder of men’s couture clothing company called Nyoni Couture, based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
